Democrats now using Bush Speak too.

August 10, 2007

Dear Congresswoman Anna Eshoo,

“The previous two weeks in the House of Representatives have been the most productive and rewarding weeks of my service in the Congress.” This is from your recent email.

There is absolutely no way you should have any pride or satisfaction in the actions of our government in the last several weeks or years. The Democrats have failed almost as badly as the disastrous Republicans. There is virtually no difference between the two parties. Please do not try spinning the failure of the Congress into something “productive and rewarding”.

I have supported you for the whole time you have been my Congresswoman. I will probably continue supporting you. However, don’t insult me by saying that this Congress is doing a good job. Our country is the real Evil Empire in the world today. We are reviled by most of the world. I am ashamed of the actions of my government. Please do not try to pretend that you are part of the United States of America that led the world in freedom, justice and democratic values. That America is no more.

Louis L. Brossard

Dear Constituent,

The previous two weeks in the House of Representatives have been the most productive and rewarding weeks of my service in the Congress. Under the leadership of Speaker Pelosi, the House passed major legislation making significant progress on healthcare for children and seniors, innovation and global competitiveness, energy independence, lobbying reform, wage discrimination, and increasing economic pressure to end the genocide in Darfur.

We also increased the minimum wage for the first time in a decade and we have finally implemented the recommendations of the bipartisan 9/11 Commission to make our country safer.

The following is information about each of these bills which I'm proud to have voted for. I did so because I think they are policies worthy of my constituents and our country.

If you'd like to receive information on other issues, I've created an e-newsletter to keep constituents informed on a variety of topics. If you'd like to receive it, go to my Web Site and go to 'E-Mail Sign-Up.'

Sincerely,

Anna G. Eshoo
Member of Congress
