The BS Party

It’s Time to Repudiate the BS Party

26 May 2008

It really is time for even the diehard Republicans to repudiate the BS Party. There is no longer any question that the people have been repeatedly misled. The charitable will excuse such action as either necessary for national security or because the people are not sophisticated enough to fully understand and handle the truth. There are very few who would still deny the deception. There are many who abhor such profligacy.

To protect our freedom we are told we must assign our informed choice to government oversight and management. The BS Party even tries to control the private conversation of its citizens and the reproductive practices of all the people of the world. This is by a party that tell us that they are for less government.

How good it would be to have the Tax and Spend Party in charge. First earn the money and then spend it. Let the people decide if they want to have better police protection, a competent infrastructure, a capable military, and if they want to try to manage all the governments of the world. Then tell them they must pay the price up front with immediate tax increases to achieve such goals.

Our economy is a gloomy mess. We, as a people, have followed our government’s lead and have become a people with the highest personal debt in the world. Such enormous indebtedness is crippling our ability to support new spending and thereby sustain economic growth. While the Tax and Spend Party has shown only modest restraint in excess spending there has never been a government that has rushed us into debt as has this Borrow and Spend Party. The country is reeling from the excessive increase in government spending. The government has been selling the country to foreign governments with unrestrained vigor. The largest national debt ever is owed substantially to our national competitors.

The Greedy and Wicked (GW) Bush administration has turned the Grand Old Party (GOP) to the Borrow and Spend (BS) Party.
